The Route

This course is extremely picturesque taking in some of the beautiful scenery of Highland Perthshire.

The Marathon course will start half way along Poplar Avenue about 200m from the entrance to Wades park and the half marathon will star at the entrance to Wades Park. Cycle Sportive 26 &13 mile will both start at Wades Park all on the B846, and will follow this road through Weem, passing Camserney, Dull and turning left onto the unclassified road prior to Drummond Hill leading to Kenmore.  At Kenmore it will join the A827 and will then enter the Taymouth Castle grounds from Kenmore Square following the castle road to the east exit where it rejoins the A827 back to Aberfeldy.  On entering Aberfeldy the full marathon course & Cycle Sportive 26 mile turns left onto Taybridge Drive then over Wade's bridge to complete a second circuit.

The half marathon and Cycle Sportive 13 mile consists of one lap.   This is a flat course with minor gradients between 4.5 and 7.5 miles and with one hill at the 8.3 mile point which is a gentle gradient over half a mile in distance to the 8.8 mile point.The course elevation graphic can be viewed below.

Both the marathon/ half marathon & Cycle Sportive finish at the Community Campus and marshals will be on hand to guide you to this new finish point as you arrive in Aberfeldy.
